Ready to take the journey to Hadestown and back? 🌹

CPM is holding auditions for Hadestown: Teen Edition!
A hauntingly beautiful musical based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, with a vibrant folk-jazz score and a story about love, sacrifice, hope, and defying the odds.

✨ WHO: High school students ages 14 - 18
📍 WHERE: CCBC Essex, Administration Building Lecture Hall (near Parking Lot #4)
📅 WHEN: Monday, March 9, 2026 | 6:30 - 8:30 PM
(You must be signed in by 8:30 PM to audition.)

🎶 Audition Prep:
Prepare 32 measures (one verse + one chorus) of a song that best shows your voice.
Bring sheet music or a karaoke track on a mobile device (no lead vocals).
You may also be asked to read from the script.

If you’re new to CPM this season, please bring a photo of yourself (any size, not necessarily a headshot).

🗓 Performance Dates:
May 1, 8, 15 at 7 PM
May 2, 9, 16, 17 at 1 PM
(Performance conflicts are not accepted.)

📌 Rehearsals typically run three weeknights 6:30-9 PM and weekends 12-6 PM, with extended hours during Tech Week (April 25-30).

⚠️ Parent Info: A parent/guardian volunteer commitment of 2 performances per actor is required (or a $50 participation fee). A mandatory Zoom meeting for cast members and a parent/guardian will take place on March 20 at 7 PM OR March 28 at 10 AM.
