CPM named Best Arts and Education Institution for
Children/Young Adults by the Readers of the
Maryland Theatre Guide!
The Children's Playhouse of Maryland
is in residence at CCBC Essex. Providing
classes, summer camps and performing opportunities for
young performers under 18 years of age, Children's
Playhouse produces four musicals a year. Performances
take place in the J Building Lecture Hall on the campus

Little Mermaid Wins!
CPM left the Junior Theatre Festival in
Atlanta with an award for "Outstanding
Music Presentation " for our segment from
"The Little Mermaid" and Jamie W. won "Outstanding Actress" for her
role as 'Ursula'
CPM also won awards here at
home. MD Theatre Guide Reader's Choice awards were given
to the production of The Little Mermaid, Director Liz
Boyer Hunnicutt, and Allison C. for her performance as
Ariel
